anyone else got the nasty sore throat bug?

Seems to be doing the rounds in my area, but I only know (so far) of adults that have had it. Symptoms are really sore throat for several days, shivering and generally feeling like poo.

Have had a sore throat all day, but often do and then it doesn't get any worse - hope it's not this bug.

I had it last week. I thought it was all due to Hayfever but definiely a bug in the end - I could tell by the green stuff (sorry!) I was blowing out of my nose in the mornings, even though I hadn't actually been snotty as such. (Throat better but green stuff still a little evident in the mornings.. I do apologise for the TMI..)

Yep, I've got it too, started with the sore throat week last Saturday, and still coughing up green phlegm (sorry if TMI) I did feel pretty pants last week, but don't feel so bad now, just annoying when I cough so much I am sick

Both kids have it . The eldest has had a week off school,and only went back today,still feeling like death warmed over. we're in s yorks ,is thgis a midlands/north/south thing?

Tillykins had it and she spent a week in hospital with it!

is there a green flaky tongue with this? Or is it just me?

I'm feeling worse now, ears sore too, but am managing to cope by dosing up with ibuprofen. I'm in Surrey, but haven't heard of anyone here with anything similar.

Still suffering with this. My tongue does look a bit strange - had to have a look after seeing the other posts! Feeling slightly better than yesterday, but only just. Hope everyone else gets well soon x

we've got it. either that, or someone popped a golf ball in my throat and didn't tell me

We had it about 4-5 weeks back, but only DH & I, not DS - I'm in Kent too SJ.

It was the worst I've had since I was about 16 but antibiotics sorted it.

Have heard of friend fo a friend in London who has been really ill with it.
