No I am not, but I have just about gone through the menopause and I am only 43. I worried about it all, so my hair started to fall out, but it has grown back now. I lose hair if I worry, so I presume that is what the problem was. Haven't had a period for over a year now, but I feel I have "hormonal cycles". Can't explain it really, but I feel similar to premenopause but don't menstruate. I get period pains but no period and get hot flushes, but these come and go. At the moment I am not having any at all, but then I relapse! It isn't very nice, but I quite like it now because I don't have the ups and downs I used to have - I am just going along the middle if you know what I mean. Don't take HRT - don't see the point.

Good luck with your menopausal adventure.

Sorry, I reread my post and it sounds like a menopausal maniac wrote it. I hope you understand what I am trying to say - I seem to just write cr*p these days.

Knew about hot flushes, mood swings, bone thinning, didn't know about thinning hair...Just something else to look forward too!
Sorry can't be of any use. Might see if I can find book about menopause.

Am off to the health shop this afternoon to see what they recommend. Oh and need to buy a little fan, one of those little battery ones, so hopefully not too obvious what is wrong. Its horrible really, dont want to advertise my menopausal state (sign of getting old) and boy am I paranoid about my age although nobody guesses I am 50, which is someting to be thankful for. Oh I I really dont want HRT have heard it can cause other probs, the ones I have are enough!

My hair hasn't gone thin but there it definitely comes out more easily and there are always strands wrapped around my fingers when I wash it.

I was going to post about myself actually. Although I have lots of hair I would like to know what's useful for healthy hair and to stop the hair loss.

Am I the only one who misread the title of this post as Menopause and harlots?
