Hair loss, thyroid and post pregnancy

Hi, I had a baby girl 10 weeks ago and I also suffer with an under active thyroid. I take 100mcg thyroxine daily and my last bloods 4 weeks ago were apparently 'slightly out' but not enough to make a change and as I generally feel ok I was happy with this. The last few days I have noticed my hair falling out a lot, I didn't think much about it coz I know it's normal post pregnancy but today I have noticed a bald patch on my head! I am terrified that this is going to spread and I will end up bald. Are bald patches normal after pregnancy? Or could it be my thyroid? Don't want to bother the gp if there is nothing I can do about it but if there is something I can do then obviously I want to stop it getting worse.

Hair loss during and after pregnancy is quite common because you develop alot more of it but as u sed u havea bald spot *( how big ? ) ibwd suggest going to ur gp just to make sure

Could get it checked incase. Might be combination.
I've lost a lot of hair post pregnancy and it left small noticeable areas.

I also have under active thyroid. I lost stacks of hair post partum - literally the house was carpeted with it Shock (and also have phases of hair loss at other times). With me it's usually a sign the med levels aren't quite right so definitely worth a trip to gp. Also it's always grown back for me once I'm back on track
