No period for 3 months?

Id really appreciate some advise please.

I'm 38 and haven't had a period for 3 months now. I've been getting the cramps around about the time I'm due on but no period at all.

Surely I'm too young to be going through the menopause? But I don't know what else it could be.

Should I just leave it and see what happens or go to my GP?

Oh I should have said that there is no possibility of me being pregnant.

I would see a Dr to check your hormone levels if you are sure you are not pregnant. Have you been crash dieting & exercising a lot? Are you under a lot of stress, travelling or had a bad illness a few months ago? All this can delay cycles.

I've been a bit stressed but only in the same way as any other mother with 3 dc.
