Burning cliterous

When I wipe myself, my cliterous has felt like it's burning for the last four days. It looks rather red to me, but there's no sign of infection or a smell. I don't feel like I have to go the toilet any more than usual or anything else unusual. I've just been rinsing the area with warm water a couple of times a day to keep it clean and stop it being irritated by any chemicals. We were away last week, swimming every day in an indoor pool and then showering in the public showers, so wondering if the pool chemicals weren't washed away and have irritated the area.

Can anyone recommend anything that may help.

Maybe try so Sudocrem or nappy cream.

Another vote for Sudocream here.
ps it's clitoris.

Are you sure it is not your wee hole - urethra- ? It could be cystitis.
The clitoris is too high up in the labia to have to be wiped after weeing.

Thanks for your replies. It maybe I've stated the wrong part, it's basically from where the wee leaves the body and around the outside of the vaginal opening. There's no feeling of itchiness. Will look into Sudocream - I looked in the chemist today and many treatments for that part of the body mentioned treating itchiness, so wasn't sure about them.

Have you changed washing powder recently? Or used sanpro with scent/actipearls? If so, change back - though it might take a while to settle down again.

The word you're looking for is urethra. I suspect you've just irritated it somehow. I'd ignore it completely, wear only pure cotton for a few days, and see how you get on.

Does it burn or sting when you wee?

Oh, and find your actual clitoris. You might benefit from it.

I find Vaseline works - just leaves a barrier and lets the skin heal itself rather than actively doing anything like a nappy cream would iyswim. Sometimes Sudacrem and the like can irritate also.

There is one that I found to be really mild but effective - began with an m but I can't remember its name. Maybe someone else might know it?

Sounds like when I get thrush - I don't get the usual cottage cheese discharge - just red raw and painful. Canestan tablets and cream do the job for me.
