Yes, I've been to the GP and started the antibiotics, I suppose I really just want to whine. Oh, and is putting cold wet cloths on the maddening infection sites a good idea or a bad one?

Oh you poor thing. I've had cellulitis and it's a bugger. If you don't have any blisters then try a warm bath and some lotion after, but nothing perfumed as it could irritate it.

Do you have a fan? I had a thing with similar symptoms to cellulitis in my face called erysipelas (elephant woman anyone) and the cool breeze helped ease some of the discomfort. Ended up in hospital on intravenous abs. A nightmare time that was.

I always have a paper fan handy at the moment (menopausal, pah!) and have just tried fanning my poor raging legs, which has helped, thanks WildThong...
