As title really. I've had a bad back since I slipped at school aged 13. I had physio at the time and this seemed to sort it.
However I've had bouts of pain on and off since then, especially since having my DCs. I had a really bad episode about 18 months ago and my GP said it was a back spasm. I couldn't move for a week without extreme pain.
Since then I've had several more bouts like this though some were a little milder.
Since march, my back has been bad constantly, it feels like the bones are grinding together and/or sticking/locking up.
I started physio but this seemed to make it worse as when my back was bad I couldn't do the excercises, and when I could it set my back off and it was over a week before I could do them again.
The GP finally referred me for an MRI which has shown some bulging discs and also some have wear on them. However he didn't say what it actually meant, only that it wasn't severe only mild/moderate. The only treatment is painkillers and physio.
The problem is the painkillers they've given me don't really work anymore as I'm used to them after having to take them all the time and they've said there aren't any others I could have. He also didn't explain very well and I'm wary of googling it and scaring myself.
Does anyone else have the same problem and have you been given any treatment that works?
