hip pain - childbirth

have been referred to an osteopathic surgeon and for a scan, because of ongoing hip pain and associated issues which i think must have been a consequence of childbirth - physio and GP both pretty baffled though. has anyone experienced or heard of hip misalignment or pain or similar from childbirth?

You may want to consider seeing an osteopath for it

I have lower back pain and pain in hips and my osteo was unsure too. I had back pain but no hip pain when pregnant and was given a pelvic brace to wear. I've since found out that what I had was mild SPD and now I think its come back worse, even though its 4 years since I had the baby. I have pain in both hips and stiffness and pain in lower back, particularly on standing up. I find it hard to stand on one leg (i.e. getting dressed) and bending down is really painful. Try googling SPD and see if the symptoms fit yours.I'm not sure if its what I've got as it was a friend who mentioned it to me, not the osteo. There's quite a lot of info on the internet about it so you should get a good idea if it could match you.
