Melasma triggered by sun/perimenopause

Anyone else? This seems to have come out of nowhere. Went to south of France for a week and developed a brown splodge on my forehead and pigmentation above my top lip! Looked on the Internet which suggests melasma.

I'm perimenopausal too (some hot flushes, erratic periods) and aged 43.

Can anyone offer some advice? Will it go after my menopause? Don't really want to use chemicals on my face!

It can be treated effectively. Google Obagi

Have you had success with Ogabi? Do I need a consultation so I know what to buy? Will I need to use it forever?

Hi it is a prescription range of products so you will need to visit a prescriber to get it ie aesthetic nurse/dermatologist etc. It can be treated effectively but may come back if you stop treatment.
