Hypothyroidism / Depression

Can anyone give any advice as to whether anti depressants can be prescribed for someone with Hypothyroidism? If not what other supplements has anyone found useful.

Am struggling with this for the first time since being diagnosed 2 years ago. I take 125 mg per day.

T4 is 9.2 TSH is 35.62. Had bloods done this morning and am seeing Endocrinologist on Friday.

Thanks Sunny - am at work which is mostly office based so am OK ish. Not seeing much on the telly after 9pm though. Not TTC no. Thanks for the advice - will man up for Friday! x

I've been on Venlafaxine 75mg for 11 years and Levothyroxine for 2 years and have had no problems. I'm investigating though about Candida in my system as my PH levels are of concern and can affect all manner of other things, including depression.

I had this issue too this year and have been diagnosed since oct 2010. Not sure why it suddenly became a real issue and why my thyroid levels are giving me such a hard time suddenly.
