Im 47, and getting pretty fed up with feeling hot and sweaty 24/7
Not sure if im goiing thru menopause,i was having heavy periods but had polyp removed and mirena coil fitted Nov 2012 so now have no periods (hurrah!) but thought menopause caused hot flushes occassionally, i am truly hot ALL the time,my head sweats and my whole body feels wet. its ruining my life, Had blood test last year which just showed anaemia which i had iron tablets for, but havn't been back since the coil fitting. Any advice please?!

Yes, a blood test will tell.

Get down to see your GP - at least you will know.

I am out the other side of the menopause but still suffer from heat. Have to wear natural fibres, have sheet & no duvet on the bed etc etc.

But it is 1,000000000000 times better than periods & PMT!

My first thought was overactive thyroid, which can be triggered by hormonal upheaval (so possibly menopause related too?)

will book drs app & see whats going on. was only 10 months since i had full blood test & all was fine then (apart from anaemia)
