I am in hospital at at moment and have been having regular painkilling injections for the last few days and all has been fine. However, after the injection the nurse gave me this morning I have had numbness in my bum and the top of my leg all day long. Would you say this is normal?

No, it sounds like it may have irritated or caught a nerve, possibly the sciatic nerve. This is usually a transient Thing. Please do inform your nurse and doctor.

Thanks. I was worried as I am in a foreign hospital and they have limited English.
