Milk or nipple discharge?

My DS is 2 3/4 and I stopped BFing when he was 16 months however, if I squeeze my boobs I still get a small amount of milk / milky coloured discharge - how concerned would you be? Should I see the GP?

TIA

I had this for years after DS was born. Never even though to worry about it.

Dared try now as I'm 32 weeks and might actually get colostrum ...

Thanks Anything - personally I'm not worry but then I worry about very little and wondered if I may be being too blaze!

Would see the GP as you may have higher than normal levels of prolactin. This can be treated with tablets.

Do not put up with it.

Thanks Atilla, what effect could too much prolactin have?

It can affect periods (these become more irregular) and ovulation.

Hi

My dd is 12 and I still get this. My gp did all the tests and whizzed me off to the breasts clinic just to be sure and it was all fine.

Still happens though!

Get it checked, just to be sure.

Thanks everyone, I shall envisage a GP appointment.
