hi

just wondered if anyone else has this

after a bath, not a long one, I feel really faint and sick and have to lie down for a bit afterwards

I am fine with showers

is it linked to body weight?

thanks

I get it when I have had the water too hot, could it be that?

ChunkyPickle · 17/08/2013 08:18

I find that happens to me if it's a hot bath.

The best thing to do is to trickle the cold water in until the temperature (and my temperature) has come down a bit, then there's no problem.

I don't know that it's body weight related, I think it's temperature related

Yes, if a bit hot, I think it may be to do with low blood pressure as I have that, but don't really know

I love my baths nice and hot. Afterwards I always have to lie down on the web for like 5 minutes though Grin

Due to all the blood going to your skin as the hot water dilates your blood vessels leaving less available to go to your brain. If you naturally have low blood pressure then it will be worse,

I fainted once after getting out of a hot bath - I was in the very early stages of pregnancy!
And yes, topsi is right about the low BP.

I used to have this problem. I would have to lie down on the bed naked I felt so ill. Having a bath also makes my skin itch. I have daily showers and haven't had a bath for over a year.
