Broken femur?

I have just broken my femur and I am waiting to have an operation.

Anyone else had this happen to them, and what was the outcome?

Managed to trip up on marble stairs fell down and broke my leg, it's the first time I have ever broke anything.

Ds broke his femur on a trampoline, had surgery and a full cast on for 7 weeks.
He heeled well but had a bad limp for about 4 months.
He needed no physio .
