my boobs are sooooo sore

That's it really they are so tender i am wincing when i take off my bra and very uncomfortable in bed. I have a coil fitted and very much doubt i am pg. Could be menopausal. Do you think it would be worth a visit to docs? Its very painful.

Pre-menstrual? Pregnant? Have you missed a period or anything? I know pregnancy is unlikely, but it's not impossible with a coil. I think I'd do a test first...

Test first and then a visit to the GP.

Am crapping myself at thought of a test. Am nearly 46!! Don't have periods anymore due to coil. Have had pms before but never this tender and sensitive. Ouch!

It happens, and it's not the end of the world, just a hell of a shock! Friend of mine was planning early retirement and ended up with twins - just sayin'.......

I have a tendency to prod my boobs when they get sore (PMS) - just to check they still hurt rather than leaving well alone. I sometimes sleep in a sports vest with a built in bra which helps a bit.

fwiw I had similar last year. Had to sleep in sports bras. also have mirena. turns out to be cyst(s) in boob. hideously painful but thankfully it was checked out and disappeared with anti inflamatories and some antibiotics. the other boob was allegedly fine but somehow felt almost as sore as the one with the cyst.

PS yes see your gp and try not to panic (easier said, yy)

Well i managed a test today, negative. So i guess i do need to go to the docs. Off on hols on Monday so it will have to wait, boobs still very sore, hope it subsides a bit i feel like i have two beach balls down my front!

an't you get an appointment before you go - yes take a bloomin emergency one, your discomfort surely justifies?
