Any eye people around?

My eye is all swollen

Friday my right cheek and underneath my eye was itchy. My tear duct was insanely itchy too.

Saturday slightly crusty when I woke up, itchy and watery. Saw pharmacist who said it wasn't allergy as just one eye and gave me optrex infected eye drops.

Early hours of this morning my eye had swelled up top and bottom, but still open.

Currently watery, itchy, warm, and swollen.

Shall I keep using the drops and see Gp if no better tomorrow?

Go to OOH?

Any ideas what it could be?

Google suggested orbital cellulitis

My DD had similar in one eye last week and the gp said it WAS an allergy! It lasted a few days, worse in morning. Doc prescribed eye drops and allergy tablets.

Maybe an optician appt would be more helpful?

My nose is streaming on the same side now too. It's a mystery. It's not got any worse so that's a good sign I guess.

I'm a bit late, but if no better go to GP, sounds lie allergy, maybe touched a plant etc then that eye.

if its an allergy then opticrom drops should sort it. However if its crusty and weepy it could be an infection - see the gp again if it doesnt clear up with the drops you have.
