Mil in 60s but with respiratory (weak diaphragm) problems and mobility problems (muscular dystrophy). Blue lighted to hospital few days ago with infection spreading up her leg from her toe that she had stubbed without knowing she had (circulatory problems and lack of feeling in legs due to the muscular dystrophy). On intravenous antibiotics but infection spreading to her stomach. FIL talks riddles so we don't really have full picture or prognosis but going to see her tomorrow. Am I right however in thinking this is a pretty worrying picture with high likelihood of bleak outcome?

Ask to speak to the nurse in charge of the ward. Or the doctor if possible.
