If they leave your ovaries intact, do you still get the red mist hormonal madness that is PMT and only miss out on the bleeding.

TIA

my sister has had one and says she no longer gets the red mist decend every month.

I'm 99% sure she still has her ovaries.

My bf had just had one. Red mist has been replaced by hot sweats , strange aches and a lot of tenderness. It has been a huge thing for her to have done and she is single with no kids running around, recuperating has taken a long time. she still loves chocolate tho'

KTeePee · 13/06/2006 20:40

A close friend had one done just over a year ago. She had horrendous depression for a couple of months afterwards (even contemplated suicide Shock), I presume triggered by the hormonal changes (didn't want any more kids so she wasn't grieving about that). From the things she told me it would make me wary of having one myself but obviously not everyone would react the same.

Ok maybe the red mist and the heavy periods and I mean heavy are best being tolerated.

Will bump this a few more times tomorrow, no disrespect to those that have kindly posted.
