Just been having a really heavy period this last week, which is unusual for me. I've also had large clots, and leaked onto my pyjama bottoms.

This is unusual for me as I'm on the pill (Microgynon), and am back on them after having the break for the period. It's now day 3. I'm still on my period, and it's heavy with large, almost black clots.

Any ideas why it's doing this? Mother nature's usually nice to me.

Is there any chance you could have been pregnant, did you take all the previous months pills correctly?

I would phone your doctors surgery and have a quick chat to the receptionist or a nurse if possible, and see what they say. heavy large clots are not normal and they may want you to make an appt if it carries on.

You can buy tranexamic acid otc to stop heavy periods but again I think it is best to check with your gp.

I'm seeing my gp tomorrow to find out what's wrong. I have since had a funny tummy.

I'm definately not pg, as broke my leg in April, and have had surgery. I'm still recovering, so none of that shinnanigans Wink

Still have a heavy period, and just exhausted now.

Thanks for the reply.
