This period has been going on about 10 weeks.
Sometimes heavy, sometimes light but never stopped.
These last two/three days I have been flooding majorly. I had a letter asking me to go for a smear test, but you need to date the apt 14 days from start of period. My tummy hurts today too.
Bleh! I am 48 by the way, a home menopause test came up negative...

GP first thing. 10 weeks continuous bleeding is NOT NORMAL. She/he should be able to prescribe something.

I have always had heavy periods before I went on the pill. The Dr said my heavy periods came back after the children were born because everything was kind of on hold with the pill. She suggested a Mirena coil, this was about 4 years ago, but then they seemed to settle down again. I will phone GP asap. Holidays have just kind of got in way... Thanks for reply DDRB
