Coil moved, thread hanging out. I'm on holiday!

I had a more a coil fitted for the first time about 2 months ago. I felt a pinching feeling last night so checked and the tip of thethread is hanging out of my vagina. This morning I can still feel a it and a bit of a pinch on one side inside where it is rubbing.

I'm on holiday in the UK for another week. Is this something I can leave till I get home or must I sees local doctor? I'm not sure if it can cause any damage or not. Sex isn't an issue as DH is home.

Did you take insurance for the holiday?
I'm not sure how it works here but if you aren't from the uk then I imagine you would have to pay for a look and removal if you can't wait til you get home.phone NHS 24 is probably your best bet.

If you think the coil is pretty much out I would take a bath with a and then some more then pull gently.

Whip it out, use alternative contraception until you get back

Seriously though, I would try and ease it out if possible. It won't hurt - the across bits fold up and it should just come out.
