Repetitive Chest Infections

Hi all, its been a while since I have posted and I feel a bit cheeky asking for advice. My 18 mnth old son has had 7 chest infections this year and been hositalised 4 times. He gets very hot 41 degrees and very tired. His retahing becomes very noisy and very fast and he looses his appetite. Doctors have put hime on yet another course of antibiotics and 3 different inhalers. I am concerned that there is a root cause to his continued illness and yet doctors appear to be traeting him symptomatically only. He had viral menigitus when he was 4 weeks old and seems to pick up infections easily and has had tests for Cystic Fibrosis and immune problems (when in hospital) these came back fine. Should I be pushing for more investigation or am I being neurotic?
