Fortnightly periods

My period just started again, only seven days after the last one ended. This is really annoying me. I had my third DC in November and while other breastfeeding mums in my birth group are rejoicing at 18 months since their last period, I've been having them every two weeks since December. I went to see my GP thinking she might want to do a thyroid test or hormone tests but her opinion was that it was fine. I was never clockwork regular but before this the absolute shortest I ever had between periods was 27 days. Now it varies from 13 days and up. Honestly I feel like it never stops.

go back to the gp or see another one. sounds like blood tests would be a good idea. why did she think it was normal?

I think she thought it was hormonal due to being post-pregnancy and breastfeeding. But I always thought breastfeeding made periods less frequent not more frequent.

in that case, you can say you waited a while but it hasnt settled down, and ask for blood tests, inc iron maybe if you have been bleeding frequently
i'd go back to the gp
