Hi,
I went to my GP today as I think I am suffering with PND , I had spoke to my HV and she agreed I should see GP.
All the GP did was give me the number for the Samaritans. Now I'm not sure what I actually hoped to achieve by seeing my GP I guess I thought there would be done kinda support network or groups for people with PND . But. I just feel like I have been brushed off by the GP.
Is this normal? Should I call the Samaritans ? I thought it was more for people who were suffering from depression and suicidal (which I'm not) .
I am willing to take on board any advice , just go easy on me as I'm a bit emotional today.

Sad Your GP sounds crap. Is there another one in the practice that you can see?

Thanks

I tried to change to a female GP in practise when I was pregnant but she has too many patients so not taking any more.
Maybe I should go somewhere completely different . I just wasn't sure if maybe this is the normal procedure with pnd .

Speak to your HV again. What a crap GP.

LadyMaryQuiteContrary · 30/07/2013 11:59

No, not normal at all. Sad Matilda's right, try your HV again, she'll kick your GP.

gamermum · 30/07/2013 12:05

Ok good to know not normal, I just feel worse now it has taken me a few weeks to reach out and ask for help. I called HV and left a message hopefully she gets back to me .
