I recently took advice from some of you about bathing a child with chickenpox PLEASE LISTEN CAREFULLY TO THIS it is NOT recommended by any doctor to bathe a child with any spotty disease this causes the tops to com off the spots which can lead to infection WAIT UNTIL THE SPOTS HAVE GONE ONLY WASH GENTLY WITH A FLANNEL ALWAYS ASK YOUR DOCTOR FOR ADVICE . PLEASE BE MORE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WRITE ON THIS SITE

A good rule of thumb is to never accept medical advice from a complete stranger on the internet. In other words be carful how you implement what you read on this site.

We are very lucky to have the NHS, in the future call your HV, 111 or look at the NHS website for help.

Getting upset because people on an anonymous website offer you advice that contradicts your GPs is just silly.

Your GP is talking SHIT.

Please read this fact sheet from GREAT ORMOND STREET HOPSITAL

fact sheet

In it it advises a tepid bath may soothe things. I'm pretty sure that as children's health specialists they know more than you gp!
