Mooncup question

This is my second month of wearing it and so far I love it.

Only one problem, when I lay down it can get a bit leaky. Not badly so but enough to have to wear a liner.

I make sure it is sealed correctly by turning it and running my finger around to check and because this only happens when I am laying down I think it is inserted correctly.

Is this quite common?

I find this. It's generally only the case on my heaviest days but means I tend to wear a pad or liner as well.

I haven't done a pelvic floor in ages. With five children that isn't good, is it?

You called?

I'm a fanjo evangelist - and yep, you should be doing your exrcises. Stress incontinence affects a third of women aged 35-55, and yep, it's possible to be a leak caused by laxity.

and, 85% of it can be cured by doing your exercises.

Have a look at my website (link on my profile) for more info. And, follow me on twitter - I use it as a training tool "when I tweet, you twitch your twinkle".

The other thing that might be worthwhile is getting a GP to cast an eye up your fud incase you have a prolapse. Very common, can be managed conservatively in the early stages.

And, mooncup - I blardy love mine. Brilliant bit of kit.

Are you running your finger doing AFTER you twist it to seal?

MissSmiley · 29/07/2013 22:41

I have one and loved it to start with but it made me sore. Have stopped using it. What was I doing wrong? Gave it a try as tampons were getting stuck because of dryness even on heavy days. Now I use tampons with KY jelly. Any ideas?

Sore in what way? Do you rinse under the tap before using it, that helps.
