just moved to Stafford and want to sign up with a surgery. Have heard that some have long queues in the morning or a three week wait. Can anyone recommend a good surgery?

I don't live in Stafford any more, but have always had no probs with Rising Brook Surgery when I was a resident. More recently have had good service (if that's what you call it!) from both Weeping Cross Health Centre and Beaconside Health Centre. I guess it depends on which part of town you're in. I think with wxhc you can either make an appt at certain times or go in and wait first thing in the morning and you'll def been seen that day, and I think that Beaconside is the same. Wxhc were great when I had to take dd1 there as a visitor. Hth.

i 'm from stafford but i don't live there now. i don't rate rising brook surgery based on the way they've dealt with my mum - eg didn't seem to review her medication, prescribed pills that only the hospital consultant should have given her. My dad wasn't looked after v well by them either - said he had a virus when it was a heart attack starting! Browning street seems v good. The one in mill st is good. I don't know about weeping x. Good luck
