Cyst on my leg.

I've just been to the gp to ask about having a lump removed from my lower leg. He told me it's a cyst and will send a referal for minor surgery.

Can anyone tell me what it is exactly and how they will remove it?

Thank you.

Aw. Come on. I know it's boring but it's not that bad surely?

Glad you got an answer.

Most GP's carry these out in the surgery, so nothing to worry about.

One thing to consider is that as it is on your lower leg you may have to be immobile for a while afterwards to stop the wound from opening up.
I had a small lump removed from my lower leg and hadn't realised this - thought it was so small I could just carry on as normal. It turned out to be much more of a faff than I had anticipated tbh

TheOneWithTheHair · 25/07/2013 15:59

I hadn't thought of that. Could you drive?

No I couldn't drive either. I would find out whether you will need to be off your feet for a while so you can plan accordingly.

Mine was done purely for cosmetic reasons and was only a little bobble type thing. Had I realised how inconvenient it would be, I wouldn't have bothered. It has also scarred quite badly.

Thanks leastsaid. I'll definitely ask. Thanks again.

Thanks Footle.

Was anyone scared? I'll admit to being a bit nervous (I don't even have the appointment yet).
