I think it appeared a few months ago (its in a hard to see place) but its now about 5 mm across, ragged, dark raised centre. I dont think it itches but because I'm thinking about it I'm not sure.
I cant get a appointment for about 8 weeks! Given its been there for an unknown number of months is that ok? I'm half worried and half thinking 'oh its fine, maybe its been there ages, dont make a fuss'

tbh I'd see if you can get an earlier appt, if it only appeared a few months ago.

Phone back and explain and ask for an earlier appt or a phone consultation.

It's always best to get suspicious moles checked asap, the medics won't think you're making a fuss.

The point isn't that you didn't notice it until a few months ago, it's that it's growing quick.

Demand an immediate appointment.

When I went with a mole the doc measured it and told me only to come back if it grew - if it's cancerous he said it would grow quickly. Thankfully it didn't grow.

I will ring them back and ask to go on the queue for a cancellation. This time of year there's a longer wait than normal because half the doctors take time off for the summer holidays. I am off camping on thursday with a friend who is a GP. I might ask her to take a gander but its right next to my bikini line Blush and although we've been friends for years there are limits!
