Hi! I have 4 DC, the last of which was born 9 months ago via c-section (planned). At the same time I was sterilised (tubal ligation). In February this year I had a period that was 6 weeks late, but the doctor said nothing to worry about and that periods can be a bit erratic after tubal ligation. Period followed not long after, then have been regular since. However, I came on 2 weeks & 5 days ago (when due) and I am still bleeding.
My 'normal' periods are heavy, and sorry if this is TMI, I wear a nappy at night sometimes!!! I know this is horrendous, but normal for me.
This period that started 2 weeks & 5 days ago, was light (for me) and has continued the same throughout.
Have been to the doctors, at first she thought it could be fibroids, but as I had a c-sec, felt that if I had they would have been felt whilst they were sorting me out during the c-sec. So now she is arranging for a full blood screen, iron level, thyroid function etc.
Why is this happening? Anyone, else had any experience of this?
I am worrying myself sick that it is something sinister.
