14yo DS 'bits' Q (possible TMI...)

Hi, my 14 year old DS mentioned this evening that he thinks he has too much foreskin and is unable to pull it down very far.

I've googled said 'disposition' and of course there's many a view of how to 'fix' it.

I did read about stretching exercises and wondered if anyone knew if there was any.truth associated to doing this or if I should just take him to the doctors.

Thanks Smile

Take him to the docs, if he's mentioned it then he may be in more discomfort than he's letting on.

he may not want you in with him unless he's like mine and likes me to do the explaining and then bugger off.

Definitely get him to see GP.

Offer to go with or wait in the car.

Like pp said, he's probably uncomfortable and/or in pain with it for him to mention to you.

It's lovely that he has told you btw. He obviously trusts you lots.

dh tells me that he had some sort of medical as a younger teen. The doctor asked if he could fully retract hos foreskin. He said no and doctor suggested in the shower gently pulling it back, as over time it looses and stretches (or something).
So he did and within a few months he could pull it back properly.

Thanks all Grin

I had a proud mummy moment when he told me as he's a typical grunting non talking teenager so perhaps he is in some discomfort - I did offer a pair of latex gloves and my kitchen tongs, which got a laugh - will make an appointment today to see gp.
