Can anyone talk me through open bite jaw surgery?

After years of problems with bruxism, headaches, and neck pain, most likely affected by my jaw and open bite, I've started down the road to corrective surgery.

I had my braces put on a few days ago and expect to be in them for 18+ months before surgery and 6+ after.

I'm nearly 30 and have a toddler, and my private healthcare is covering this (I'm in the UK). I've read a few blogs and the stories are a bit harrowing, but having a normal bite will be amazing.

Can anyone share their story?

Hi,
Did you go private for surgery/braces etc?
I have an underbite and need surgery but my local NHS hospital have a 18 month wait for a consultation so looking to go private, can anyone recommend anywhere?
