Novasure Recovery

I had the Novasure ablation procedure carried out 11 days ago, and I am struggling with the recovery. The Novasure website gives the impression that I should be skipping down the beach in white trousers after a couple of days, but I am nowhere near that!

I have had the most foul smelling discharge up to yesterday (sorry if TMI). Probably not helped by the hot weather, but I have been really conscious of the oduour around other people. I am still feeling very drained, and the stomach cramps have not improved since the procedure.

To top it all today I have very heavy bleeding with clots - same as periods were beforehand. My next period would not be due until 28th this month. Also very strong period pains - not really cramps as they would always come and go, this is continuous pain.

I have made an appointment to see the GP later this afternoon, I was just wondering if anyone else had experiences similar to this. Also, what to expect at the GP - could it be an infections (almost hoping that it is and that ABs will start to help) or is it just to be expected as part of the normal recovery/result of being over-ambitious with what I am doing?

Thanks for reading.

Sounds as though it may be an infection. I had one after my Novasure. Developed a foul smelling discharge then pain. A course of antibiotics cleared it up with no problems.
Since had no bleeding but am having lower draggy backache almost constantly and its been five months :(

Thank you both, sounds as though gp is the right course of action. Hope your back pain starts to improve soon, willy

It was an infection, thank you for asking Smile , I am on a two week course of ABs but need to go back on Weds if no improvement.

I actually feel a bit better knowing that there was actually a problem. not just feeling rubbish for no reason, if that makes sense?
