Bleeding after sex

Noticed after sex earlier there was quite a bit of blood on the condom it was dark pink/brownish, after cleaning up there wasn't any more other than some light brown discharge a few hours later. I'm really worried about this as its never happened before. My period finished a week ago so I'm not due on. I'm not on any hormonal contraception either hence the condoms is this something I should be seeing my gp about or should I see if it happens again? I'm a worrier generally so would appreciate logical advice. I'm 27 and a year (ish) over due for my smear test, previous and only smear before was normal.

i've been getting this for a few months, I wasn't sure if it was my coil or not, my doctor referred me to hospital for a colposcopy, I go on Monday.

My smears have all been clear so I'm puzzled as to what's causing it.

See your GP. Could well be an ectropian cervix also called cervical erosion. Sounds hideous but normal and can bleed post SI. Needs checking, though.

thank you. Whenever I go to the toilet I have a little pale brown discharge still, its also really jelly like which is unusual, I have made an appointment with my gp its a few weeks wait though unfortunately.

i am getting the same type of thing and it is worrying and horrible. i have noticed dark brown stains on my underwear which is worrying and i am going to the doctors on tuesday to get checked out.

I am having the same, for a few days after sex. It was really bad after my smear test a few weeks ago, fresh blood mixed in and lasted a week. My nurse said if my smear results are clear I have to get myself to a female doctor, since the male doc gave me the pill and said its normal to have on and off bleeds with the implant. Have had the implant for 18 months now, and bleeding only started 2 months ago! I haven't had a period or bleed since it was put in!

The only time I had this it turned out I was pregnant. Have you tested? I know you said you'd just had a period but sometimes you can appear to have a period regardless. Hope you get it sorted soon x
