Babies nappy is very dry...

... my 8 month old for the past two days has had a very dry nappy. Usually it's really heavy but the past two days it seems like the nappy has only been on for an hour or so rather than all the way through the night.
She's got a viral infection (saw doc on Thursday), could the two be related or should I be worried about the dry nappy?

TIA

Is it possible she has a sore throat and taking liquids is making her uncomfortable. You could try giving her some fruit water ice lollies til she's better.

She seems to be drinking fine.
Yesterday she refused a morning feed from me but she drank 20oz between 7:00 and 5:00 at the CM, then had two long b.feeds from me. This morning she had a half hour feed as well. I think she is having enough liquid, but you never can tell with b.feeding!

Mmmm..dunno then, a BF baby should have at least one heavy wet nappy a day so maybe you should call the HV just to be on the safe side. HTH

We give her water but she doesn't seem too fussed on it. We have been giving her quite a lot of juicy fruit as well.
I have asked my DH to ask the CM today when he dropps DD off whether or not she has a really wet nappy at some point during the day just to check whether she's storing it all up for the day time.
Oh, and yes the sun has finally popped out!!

Thanks for the comments. Will leave it til tomorrow / see what CM says and then pop to see my HV I think

Okay, this morning was the third day of a dry nappy, this morning it was totally dry. The CM says that she is having wet nappies in the day, so would you worry or call the HV (bear in mind that one of my HV is really mean, the others are lovely, but I'm not sure who I'll get to speak to!)

That's a coincidence cause this morning for the very first time my 13 mth old had a dry nappy. It's usually soaking and so I started to worry. But during the day today, it's been wet quite alot and she is drinking enough I think (water as well as milk). We'll see what happens tomorrow.
