I've just given birth and 3 weeks ago I had 3 iron infusions as my level was 9.4 despite being on iron supplements for 6+ months.
Before giving birth they ran a FBC and my level was 9.6. Surely you'd hope it to be much higher given the infusions?
Midwife will take more bloods today as have lost a moderate amount post- birth.
I have the usual symptoms of chest pain/ fast heartbeat and weakness/lethargy (but I have just given birth!!).
Anyone got any thoughts on this? Should I ask for a referral to haematologist?
