have smoked from the age of 13 and am now 25. i am ashamed to say i had the odd 1 while i was pg with dd and now i want to give up. i was just sitting at the pc with a fag in my hand and i thought what is the point of it. so have taken the leap and made an appointment

DH was just referred for the counselling thing.

He finally gave it a go.

It didn't work.

He tried 3 sessions and all that talking about fags just did his nut. You're supposed to text when you want to smoke, but he ran out of credit on his phone and so smoked instead.

He's finally been referred for Zyban, as he's also done the patch 3x and failed.

HI starshaker i have now stopped for over 2 months, good luck!

my best bit of advice would be try and avoid situations where other people will be smoking, even just for a couple of weeks

(its easy for me due to the smoking ban)

we live in scotland 2 so he smoking ban here but i never go out. i normally smoke while at the pc

well in that case you should stay away from the pc even for a couple of weeks

it will really help!

well i have my first patch on so this is day 1 of me stoppin. just hope i can do it for alanas sake
