Mystery rash and a miserable baby

For the last couple of days my 8 month old Ds has been miserable. We assumed it was his teeth but this morning he's got a rash all over his legs with bits on his arms and belly. Anyone else have this? I've got an appt with our GP this aft just in case.
He's in better spirits today. But the last few days he's cried inconsolably which is very unlike him.
Help!

DS gets an eczema like rash on the backs of his legs when he is teething. Also in March he had a bit of vomitting bug which brought out the same reaction over his back and legs. Doctor wasnt too concerned. Prescribed some E45 and he was fine within a few days. Always best to get it checked though.
