Does anyone use one? How do you find it?

unfortunately i have now dropped 2 down the toilet. have to buy another.

there's no way i'll go back to tampons / pads.

Although in having issues with the femmecup I would recommend the mooncup. I forget its my period which prior to discovering mooncup would have been a small miracle

Wouldn't go back to tampons. I have to empty it 2 hourly on the heaviest days, but it was worse with tampons.

I get less cramping too which is a bonus.

Definitely less cramps, and I've gone from 6 days to 4. And no flooding

Marvellous. Have been using mine for about 4months now.
I had a few problems at first with it unfolding on the way in, but someone pointed me towards a host of folding techniques.

Now I am a master of the mooncup 7-fold :)

I love my mooncup - clean, less cramping, sometimes forget I'm even on my period, also holds a lot more than other products. I like the fact you can measure your output too and know if you have light/average/heavy flow. I also like that I'm using much less sanitary products which will just end up in landill. I do use a panty liner on my heaviest day as I do get a few drips but this seems to from blood getting into the lowest part of the vagina whilst I'm changing it IFYSWIM.

The only thing I would say is I think next time I'l go for a softer cup as it does press slightly on my bladder.

Does it work ok at night too?

And suitable for use after 3 vag births?

Can't answer the DC one but I use it for the whole period including at night, at work, horse riding and heavy gym sessions

Works great at night! I slept with a towel under me for the first few nights but no leaks at all!

Menstrual cups = awesome!

I started using menstrual cups 10 years ago and would never go back to tampons or pads. With tampons and pads I had constant bacterial vaginosis, I always felt sore and irritated down below, and with my super-heavy flow I leaked constantly, where as with menstrual cups I've not had a single infection in 10 years and don't worry about leaking.

Cups are safer so no risk of TSS, infections, increased cramps or bleeding, and no dioxin - thus they can be worn for 12 hours (Mooncup say 8 hours, but 12 hours is absolutely fine), with any flow, before your period, overnight, and no need to alternate with pads...so far more convenient than tampons or pads. They're easier to use, more comfortable, cheaper, greener, ethical, and as they hold more plus have light suction they don't leak like tampons or pads.

Mooncup is only 1 of over 30 different brands (when I started using cups 10 years ago there were only 3 brands) - I started with Mooncup, I've tried a few different brands and currently use a Ladycup. I still recommend Mooncup for first-time users as it's a nice mid-sized and mid-flexibility cup, the company is also great - you can buy them from Boots, but it's a little cheaper to buy online - www.mooncup.co.uk/wc.php?u=1741

i've had 3 vag births. no probs with mooncup.

Another fan (2 vaginal births). Fine for running too.

I started using a Mooncup about six months ago and am a huge fan. They are fantastic. I cut the tail off mine. My periods are very heavy (pre menopausal ) and it works brilliantly. I don't have the near miss accidents I used to have with tampons and SanPads.

I don't believe they help cramping or reduce blood flow but they do make my periods much more bearable.

They are cheap and comfortable. I used it successfully whilst slumming it travelling in a third world country.

Tempted but is it an option if your pelvic floor is shot to shit? Or is it The option if your pelvic floor is shot to shit? One massive headed DS and I don't really know why i bother with tampons
