Should I see the GP tomorrow?

I've had a reaction on my hand to some Deep Heat. Picture on my profile. Do I need to go to GP tomorrow or just put some plasters on?

Gosh you poor thing, it looks so sore.

I would definitely go to the gp with that. Ouch

That looks like a chemical burn to me (no medical expertise, but it does look very nasty). Is it getting worse still?

I'd be tempted to get along to A&E or minor injuries sooner rather than later.

Good Lord! First of all, obvious as it may seem, make sure you have washed it all off. It will need medical attention but I'm not sure the GP is the right place, I think I would ring 111 and ask them where to go for the best.

GP tomorrow or if they won't see you go to A&E. When did it happen and how long did it take to get like that?

Thanks for the advice. All sorted now, rang GP at 8am got an appointment with the duty Doctor at 9am, was very impressed with them. Doc said it is a burn, and got me an appointment with the nurse five minutes later. So all nicley bandaged up now, got some antibiotics as 'cover' because its my hand and with a 15 month old too look after I can't not use it. Though nurse says I have to keep it dry and not wash up! So there is an upside. Going back on Friday. Could not fault the service I had from the Practice today.

Very glad you got such prompt and effective treatment today - I hope it heals quickly.
