Recurrent concussion

I'm looking for advice as I'm really worried. Adult DD had a nasty fall last year and had concussion which lasted two months and resulted in 6 weeks off work. She hit her head again a few months ago and was off for 4 weeks with similar symptoms. She's was seen at an A and E dept for the original injury but not x rayed. She's been seen by a number of GPs when she's needed sicknotes but none have suggested any further investigation.
She has just told me that she's hit her head again (she is a bit clumsy) not a serious knock, but the signs of concussion are starting again. Should she insist on being referred to a consultant? I feel there is an underlying problem (maybe a fractured skull) but I'm not sure if there is much that doctors can do?
Anyone experienced similar?

Insist on referral. Don't focus on her skull, probably fine, x ray will show nothing exciting. Our brains are like an egg in a biscuit tin - any knock or bang causes damage which normally heals itself and its all fine - but sometimes needs further assessment. If all was well, her symptoms should have resolved completely. Worth getting properly checked out.
