Gallbladder out while pregnant?

I am currently waiting for the surgeons at the hospital to write to me but my consultant has decided that I need my gallbladder out however I have found out I am pregnant. Will they still take it out while I'm pregnant? I am really suffering with the attacks and they are coming on more now I am pregnant. Thanx in advance

It's unlikely I'm afraid.

I was admitted with upper abdo pain during pregnancy and they suspected it was my gall bladder. They said they wouldn't do anything until after I had the baby. I was due to have a cystoscopy a month after I got pregnant for a urinary tract blockage when I got pregnant and they wouldn't do that either. A GA comes with an increased chance of MC so unless its urgent/emergency (like appendicitis) they don't want to take the risk. I'd ring the consultant's secretary and ask what they suggest.
