It's just that really - I think I have a stomach bug as feel totally drained/achey and have been throwing up this evening :( I am bf my 7 wk old baby. What's the chances they will become ill too? Also have a 3 yr old......joy of joys! X

I got norovirus when DD was about that age and she was fine, lucky thing! I think they get antibodies from your breast milk. Even if he does get ill, I think the advice is to carry on feeding. This page has more information: breastfeeding when ill Hope you are all feeling better this morning. It's rotten.

I would say it is unlikely your baby will catch the bug if you are bf as you will pass the antibodies across in your milk. To minimise the risk of your 3yo catching it, then the most effective thing you can do is for both of you to wash your hands and faces regularly. Face-washing is important as well as hand washing as the droplets can stick to your face.
