Does gripe water change poo smell/consistency?

Nice topic I know!

15 wk old DD had really bad colic which seemed to have cleared. Over the last week, however, she has suffered terribly with it again, and has had to have a lot of gripe water to calm her down.

Her poo, which was fairly runny before, has now gone very thick. It also used to smell quite pleasant, but is now a bit rank!

Trying to work out if the gripe water is the cause of the bowel changes, or whether whatever is causing the colic is also causing the changes in her nappy contents.

Anyone experienced anything similar?

what is gripe water?

Found a link which explains it a bit - \link{http://www.colichelp.com/shop/gripewater.html\here}. The most common one is made by Woodwards and contains dill. It's basically a medicine to ease wind/tummy pains.
