Strange menstrual period.

I'm probably over thinking this or worrying about nothing but my period started Sunday night, a week early. Sudden small amount of bright red blood, normally get darker discharge first.
Stopped suddenly by Wednesday, ended with tiny bit of blood streaked discharge. Normally get brown discharge for the last 2-3 days.

I'm on the mini pill. Also had a chest infection, antibiotics and steroids.

I guess my main worry is pregnancy! I've only heard about implantation bleeds on here so no idea what that is like.
Any ideas?

Ive just posted a question near on exactly the same!
Most have come back as probably something to do with the pill.
Mine is probably due to taking two lots after another but yours is probably due to the antibiotics and steroids i would imagine, interfering with the effects of the pill.

I'm just putting it down to an off month and will wait and see what next month brings......

Surely your doctor or pharmacist would have warned you if there was an adverse reaction between your mini pill and the antibiotics prescription? Have you read the leaflet to see if it doesn't work if you are taking antibiotics?

Otherwise it could be that you are feeling run down. No medical knowledge though, sorry. Hope your chest infection clears soon.

I did miss one pill (oops) so I suppose that's put more doubt in my mind.

No warning from Dr and nothing in leaflet but not dtd since before taking meds.

Just had bit of blood again on the tissue after a wee.
I'm not sure if I should be worrying or not.
