Pain in breast bone

This is hard to explain, but I've been getting a sharp pain in what feels like the bone right next to, or under, my left breast. It feels like when you have really bad sunburn, but isn't sore to touch. It's a very small area, about the size of a 5p.
I don't think it is in the bone but it doesn't feel like its the top of the skin either.

Sorry this probably sounds like gobblegook, Blush. But does anyone have any ideas?

Is it one of your ribs? Could a bra have been a bit too tight and rubbed?

Maybe some ibruprofen gel might help in case it is a bit inflamed but under the skin.

No its in between, not at the side. It's been a few weeks now. Maybe I could have pulled something.

Ah I see...does sound muscular to me. If you are anything like me you'll be poking at it too all the time to see if it still hurts which will be making it worse. Ibruprofen gel might still be worth a try.

I would try and leave it alone and see what happens but pop to GP if you still worry.

Thanks, of course I'm not poking Blush.
I have some gel I'll put on it.

There's a little joint right in the middle which can get swollen and painful. GP offered steroid injection for mine, but it went away by itself - worth having it inspected.

Just a possibility - costochondritis? Inflammation of the connective tissue of the ribs. Can be very painful.

Sounds like nerve pain if it feels like a burn - does it feel scalded?

Lots of teeny facet joints here that can get very sore indeed. Hope the ibuprofen helps, but do see GP if carries on, if only for reassurance Smile

Funnily I though t about nerve pain today when t happened . I have nerve pain and itching from having the shingles a few times and wondered it was coming from that.
Thanks for your repliesSmile
