Link between IBS and Ovulation? Anyone?

Hi there,

I have suffered terribly with IBS since after DS was born and am suddenly seeming to have a bout of it at around about the same time every month.

Now, I have no idea when exactly I ovulate and if this is matching the flare up (as PCOS and no periods for years) but do you think this could be flare ups due to ovulation or something?

If so, how can I approach it? Is there something I can do? I have the implant in my arm if that makes any difference, but am happy to to get this out as due out in October anyway.

Thanks.

I find it is linked to my cycle, I suffer particularly badly the week before

Also find it happens to me the few das before my period. I suffer with IBS in general but it reaches a different level then.

I try to manage it by limiting dairy and spicy foods. Perhaps think about what you're eating? There may be a few triggers there that you could avoid that week.

Yes I have always had it but it's much worse at the moment because my ovary is embedded in my bowel. That's a barrel of laughs, I can tell you.

I think ibs links to hormonal cycles generally.
