I've got a chest infection. I'm on steroids and antibiotics to clear it.
But I'm having terrible bladder weakness with the coughing Sad Blush .
Generally don't have too mych problems with weakness although trampolines are a no go! So I would say on the weaker side.
I'm now having to use tena liners and coughing so often than I've already used 4 pads today Blush .
Is there anything I can get to help with pelvic floor muscles? I'm rubbish at pelvic floor exercises.

Ooh Tortoise I had that. It was awful. But as soon as the cough/chest infection cleared it all went back to normal.

That's good too hear. I'm so worried it won't.
Been a crap half term Sad. Can't go out far because of the cough and leakage Sad .

I had that when I had a cough and head cold last winter and for me too, it recovered very quickly once the illness had passed.

I remember having to go to the supermarket at the height of my illness to get emergency food, and while deciding what fruit to buy, stopping to blow my nose and wetting myself at the same time. It was dreadful.

I honestly thought it was forever. I was mortified. I bought Tenaladys. But it disappeared. Phew.

I would have a good cough whilst sat on the loo. Smile

Thanks.
Lots of coughing while on the loo.
Get off and 1 minute later I'm coughing and leak again Sad . Where does that little bit of wee hide!Blush

I only had to laugh tonight and leaked. Feels like it's getting worse.

Honestly, that's how I was - it felt like it was getting worse and mine went on for about 10 days and it really got me down. Once I stopped coughing, mine returned to normal in a few days.

I've promised DDs a trip to the beach Saturday. Hour on the train! I'm hoping the cough has calmed down by then. It's so draining. Made all the much worse by the bladder weakness.

It will be fine once the cough is gone.

I had this while pregnant. Double whammy or what?? I had a miscarriage which basically meant that I spend 14 months pregnant with a small gap in the middle. Coughed the whole time, pissing myself each time. I finally went to the dr a couple of months before baby came. It was asthma! Got a puffer and was much better after a couple of days.

Tortoise · 30/05/2013 22:56

I really hope so Poppy Smile.

Sorry about your miscarriage bonzo.
I've had mild asthma for years. Over the weekend I was so short of breath plus the coughing, I felt awful. Probably should have phoned OOH and got meds sooner than Tuesday but I struggled on lol!
