small spots on arms and chest

16 year old ds has a lot of small pimple sized spots on his arms and chest. It's like a rash but he's had them for ages. He gets the occasional spot on his face but nothing much. Does anyone know what might be causing these spots?

My daughter had a similar sounding rash of very tiny slightly raised spots near her upper arms and chest. On advice from GP we kept it covered so no-one else could catch it, and started vitamin tabs, encouraged lots of vegies and lean meat, eggs etc to build immunity. Took 6 months to slowly go.
They were molluscum contagiosum which sounds hideous, but is a common fungal rash children get when their immunity is low- and yes, it is contagious if you have low immunity, otherwise you probably wont get it.
So, the rash cleared up by itself (GP said you can burn each tiny wart off but usually, given lots of time, it will disappear ever so gradually).
Maybe see GP?

My DS has these - mild eczema, according to our GP .

Google keratosis pilaris and see if it's that. I have it on my arms, as does dd1.

Is there anything in them - like fluid stuff? If not, it might be what I was recently diagnosed with - pityriasis rosea. If so, it's non-contagious and will fade in time (apparently!)
